LEADING JEWISH SCHOLAR ON JUDAISM AND THE NEW TESTAMENT

Amy-Jill Levine is a figure in wild demand on the international circuit for her work on the New Testament and the Jewish background. As a practicing Jewish woman she brings a unique perspective to this area of growing understanding.

Amy-Jill will speak at the Chapel by the Sea Uniting Church, Bondi Beach, Thursday 9th July from 7.30pm. Her topic will be ‘Hearing Jesus with Jewish ears'.

The cost for the lecture will be $15 and $10 concession. Further details 9130-3445.

Modern music and song, a message giving due regard to scholarship and relevance to modern living.

Contemporary Worship. Open, participative in an informal style in a circle. Dialogue discussion.

Sunday, 3pm
Led by Fran Wootton. A time of healing and reconnection.

Sunday, 7pm
Cafe Church.
An informal gathering featuring open discussion on topics to do with faith and living. Details of upcoming guest speakers can be found on the Cafe Church page, while on the other Sundays we share in the prayer and meditation in the style of the Taize Community www.taize.fr.

The Chapel by Public Transport
The Chapel by the Sea is easily accessed by public transport. Take either buses 333 (prepay only), 380 or 381 from the city (Circular Quay and Elizabeth Streets) or train to Bondi Junction and bus from there. Buses stop in Campbell Parade, 50 metres from the Chapel. SEE MAP
